Jesus came to earth and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for man. He died the death that we deserve that we can live with Him forever. Jesus dying for man was the ultimate expression of the love of God that could be given.

Jesus said in John 14:15 “If you love me, keep my commandments.” The commandments are an expression of the character of God and Jesus asks us out of love for Him to obey Him. We are not saved by works but rather once Jesus is living in us we will live a life that reflects Him to others.
